The youth ministry at Vintage Grace Church is not merely an extension of the church; rather it is a means to fold our youth into the life of our congregation.  We seek to do this by having our students involved in discipleship relationships, congregational meetings, and various youth group activities.  At VGC we believe that Christian parents or guardians are the primary disciplers of their children.  Therefore our approach and philosophy is one of coming along side the parent and serving as a multiple influencer in the youth’s life.

 

By mobilizing [students] efforts and empowering them to be missionaries, they can be Great Commission Christians, accomplishing the work of ministry.  Sometimes we sell short the capabilities of these youths and fail to equip them for ministry.  The church needs youth ministry built on new principals.  Drawing a crowd is not enough.  We have been good at drawing crowds of youth.  But, if pizza gets them to church, what will take them out?
